When Demons Attack

And so it begins... I was driving home and I suddenly felt like I had 300 pounds sitting on my back. I could literally feel a weight pressing down on my back and shoulders.  " What is this! What am I going to do? How did this happen "?  These and many more were my thoughts. My first reaction was not, " Is this a demon on my back ?" I had no experience with such things and was clueless.  But---my "theology" of demons was about to become real. The news In the previous hours I had received some very bad news about my wife. Something had happened and I needed to help deal with it. But what help was I going to be while I was walking around with this weight on my shoulders? When I pulled in the driveway it was late and I was tired, but this matter must be discussed. My wife was awake and we talked. The Tithe that Binds

Christian Giving as Prescribed in the New Testament If you ask Christians how much we should give to the church, you will get an innumerable amount of answers. Some answers will be wrong, but many will be right. According to the N.T. we are not instructed to give any specific amount. As a matter of fact, some are said to actually have a special gift of giving (Romans 12:8). The following is a very brief explanation of N.T. giving as prescribed for the Christian. The Tithe that Binds! The N.T. never instructs the believer to “tithe”. Tithe means tenth. If you want to tithe, that is your choice and you are neither required to do so, nor are you limited by a tenth. Family First Give to yourself and family first. This should go without saying, but many have erred in this. 1 Tim 5:8  “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” The take away from this
